The winds of change are upon us and it appears that silver
is losing its dominance in the fashion world. The more warm coloured metals have
made a comeback. (Copper, however, has always been a favorite in the
metaphysical world due to its conductivity.)
Copper is well recognized for its healing properties
especially with fighting infections. Copper is an antioxidant, improves the
production of hemoglobin, myelin, collagen, melanin and the list goes on.
As mentioned, Copper is an excellent conductor of energy and
therefore acts as a conduit for the energies of the stones it surrounds.
Malachite is a copper carbonate stone with a hardness of 3.5
to 4. Malachite actually reacts to other
metals and can cause a discolouring of the metals. Copper is the perfect partner for Malachite
in jewellery.
Malachite is a high energy, protection stone which makes it
perfect for travel and for business.
It absorbs pollutants from the air and from the body.
Malachite will unmercifully show us our blockages. It will
draw up buried feelings and help us take responsibility for our actions.
Malachite is a wonderful healing stone. It is used for
feminine issues and childbirth. It also enhances our immune system.
It should be cleansed after each use. Sun and quartz are
perfect cleansers. Do not use salt as this will damage the stone.
ONLY wear polished Malachite as the dust can be toxic if the
stone is raw as well as if it is chipped.
