CARNELIAN - TO MOM WITH LOVE

With the fast approach of Mother’s day, we thought we would highlight the heart as it is a wonderful symbol of love.  The icon of energy has been also been incorporated into this heart pendant.  The wonder symbolism has also been enhanced with a single Carnelian bead.

Carnelian is a grounding and stabilizing stone with high energy making it a motivational stone. Metaphysically, Carnelian helps to remove fear and to create courage. It is used for concentration and to calms anger.

In ancient times, Carnelian was used as an amulet or talisman as this stone is a grounding and stabilizing stone with high energy which makes it a motivational stone.

Carnelian is also associated with creativity and stimulates energy and drive.

In healing it is said to influence the female reproductive organs and is beneficial for depression.

“BELIEVE” PENDANT

HEMATITE

Hematite is an iron oxide with trace amounts of titanium.  It is a myth that Hematite is magnetic on its own.  Hematite is only magnetic if it contains enough magnetite to attract it to a magnet.   Hematite has a hardness of 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale.

Hematite is grounding, enhances expansion and is protective. It is associated with peace and harmony and harmonizes the spirit, mind and body.

It stimulates memory, concentration and focus. It is used to assist with addictions and is used during the inventory stage of the program.

Physically, Hematite is said to help with blood supply and is beneficial for leg cramps and anxiety.

Hematite is associated with the root chakra.

HEMATITE BRACELET

CHEVRON AMETHYST (WITH WHITE QUARTZ) & OBSIDIAN

Amethyst is from the quartz family and has a hardness of 7.  This particular piece is created with Chevron Amethyst (Amethyst banded with white quartz) and smaller complementary Obsidian beads.  Obsidian is natural glass occurring from molten magma and has a hardness of 5 to 5.5. 

Amethyst is known as the Master healer.  This is a stone  associated with sincerity, protection and purification.  Being Chevron Amethyst, the quartz contained in the Amethyst acts as an amplifier of the energies.  Amethyst is also a calming stone and is known to heal the heart on a spiritual level.  Obsidian will enhance integrity and honesty and is the stone of manifesting and healing.  

Amethyst is not only used on those being healed but also is worn by the healer.

Obsidian (particularly black) is known as the stone of truth. Obsidian is a protective stone and helps to alleviate negativity.  This stone assists with dealing with emotional blockages.

QUARTZ CRYSTAL SILVER BRACELET

AMAZONITE

Amazonite has a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale and is part of the feldspar mineral group.  Contrary to its name, Amazonite cannot be found in the Amazon River after which it was named but can be found in other parts of Brazil.

Amazonite is a soothing stone that balances the male and female energies. It helps us to see both sides of all issues and soothes emotional trauma. 

It is known as the stone of courage and truth.

Amazonite is known to heal the heart and throat chakras.

AMAZONITE

ARIES - AVENTURINE

Aventurine is one of the many birthstones or sunstones of Aries which include but not limited to Amethyst, Anyolite, Aquamarine, Axinite, Bloodstone, Citrine, Diamond, Emerald, Fire Agate, Magnesite, Magnetite, Stilbite, etc.

Aventurine is part of the Quartz / Chalcedony family containing small flakes or scales which can give it a glistening effect. The inclusions are usually Muscovite mica, but can be Hematite or Goethite. Aventurine has a hardness of 6.5 to 7.  Commonly, Aventurine comes in many varying shades of green but can also be found in the colours of orange, brown and grey.

Our featured piece also contains Clear Crystal Quartz but today with Aries in mind we are only speaking about Aventurine.

Aventurine is associated with abundance, opportunity and luck. 

It is said that Aventurine assists in emotional and mental healing. It has been used to calm tempers and also as a love stone.  Aventurine is known to attract harmony.

APRIL BIRTHSTONE – OPAL

The month of April has three birthstones – diamond, opal and sapphire. 

Today, we are highlighting Opal and our featured piece has been created from pink opal.  Pink Opal has a hardness of 6 on the Mohs Scale and is a blend of opal, palygorskite and chalcedony.

Pink Opal is a stone of hope, purity and health. It is the healer of emotions and is the stone for faithful lovers. This stone enhances our emotions as well as our spiritual self.  Pink Opal assists in keeping us centred and calm. 

Used in meditation and with dreams, Pink Opal helps to arouse compassion and allow us to release painful memories.
