CLEAR QUARTZ AMPLIFYING LABRADORITE

As Labradorite’s name suggests, it was discovered in Labrador, Canada.  It has a hardness of 6 to 6.5. Clear Crystal Quartz has a hardness of 7 and is the most common stone found on our planet.

Labradorite has a wonderful metallic reflective quality when light hits it on specific angles.  Labradorite is known for its lovely flashes of colour. The central elongated stone in this necklace brightly reflects a soothing, wonderful blue.  Labradorite has been compared to the aurora borealis.

Labradorite enhances our intuitive and mental abilities as well as our ability to open up to new ideas. It assists with dream recall.  This is the stone of transformation.  Labradorite also assists those that use their hands for healing.

CITRINE

Citrine has a hardness of 7 and is from the quartz family. The colour of citrine can vary from light yellow to a light orange-yellow. Most citrine on the market is heated amethyst which may have been treated naturally by Mother Nature or may have been treated by man.  Heated Amethyst, sold as citrine, can range in colour from dark yellow to a dark red-yellow.  Smokey quartz can also be treated to turn yellow. According to minerals.net, all heat-treated “citrine” has a red tint. Some very light natural Citrine can be sold under the name of “Lemon Quartz”. 

Citrine’s energies are associated with abundance and it is known as the success stone.  It is also associated with happiness. 

Citrine increases and clarifies personal power and energy.

Citrine is used to removing toxins and is said to be helpful with overcoming addictions.

It should be noted that Citrine may intensify aggressiveness in some individuals.

Citrine is connected to the Solar Plexus chakra.

CORAL - Holiday Colour

Coral puts me in mind of Christmas at this time of year so we thought we would highlight Coral for the up and coming holiday season.

Coral is a skeletal structure which is slowly built by small marine animals. Coral is between 3 and 4 in hardness. Natural coral is generally the colour of Carnelian but most coral used in jewellery has been dyed to enhance the red colour. 

Coral is said to aid in meditation, visualization and creativity. As a result, it is a suggested tallisman for artists. 

Coral attracts love, passion and prosperity. It also helps us to become balanced and in harmony with nature.

Physically, Coral is said to assist with circulation and blood issues as well as regeneration.

Beautiful Amethyst.  We just had to feature a collection of this sought after stone and what a perfect choice for this time of year as it is a calming stone.

Amethyst is from the quartz family and has a hardness of 7.  .

Amethyst is one of the most popular stone particularly as a healing stones.  It is considered the master healer.

AVENTURINE

Financial abundance can eliminates stress during the season of giving.  Aventurine was one of the stones that comes to mind when we think of the energies of abundance.

Aventurine is associated with abundance, opportunity and luck.

SODALITE

Sodalite is a member of the Feldspathoids mineral group and has a hardness of 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale.

Sodalite is known as the logic stone as it offers us the ability of obtaining a clear mind and deep thoughts.  When our thought process is clear we can then communicate clearly and to the point.  This makes it an excellent tool for teachers and students.  Sodalite is a talisman for writers.

Because of its ability to help us think clearly we can then stabilize our emotions by thinking clearly to reduce stress and to not over respond emotionally. 

Sodalite is also a tool used when working on developing intuition and psychic abilities.  It is a must for those whose practices include card readings and Astrology chart readings.

SODALITE

TOURMALINE CROWNED WITH BLUE TOPAZ

Tourmaline is a semi-precious gemstone with a hardness of 7 to 7.5 and comes in a very wide variety of colours.  Black Tourmaline is also known as Schorl.

Topaz is a gemstone with a hardness of 8.  Pure Topaz naturally occurs as white but comes in a variety of colours.  Blue topaz is generally a paler blue but come in a variety of shades.  Blue Topaz is a very popular stone second only to Sapphire.

This combination has been created with Scorpio/November in mind.

Black Tourmaline acts as a shield against negative and damaging energies but it also protects us from those energies within.

Tourmaline reduces toxins that cause chronic diseases. Tourmaline is said to cause a cleaning of the nervous system creating less stress, alertness and greater circulation. It is a grounding stone and enhances tolerance and understanding thus Black tourmaline can help a Scorpio individual be less demanding.

Zoisite is the green portion of these beads which as a hardness of 6.5 to 7.  The reddish pink inclusions is Ruby which has a hardness of 9.   Ruby in Zoisite is also known as Anyolite.

Ruby is an energy stone and when combined with Zoisite, the crown chakra is activated.  This assists in spiritual learning and access to our soul's memory.  This combination is excellent for use in past life work as well.

SMOKEY QUARTZ PENDANT

SERPENTINE & JADE COLLAR

Chrysotile, antigorite, and lizardite are three of the primary minerals found in Serpentine. There are, however, other more rare minerals that can also be found in Serpentine. The hardness of Serpentine can range from 3 to 6 on the Mohs scale.

Jade is the combination of Nephrite and Jadeite and has a hardness of 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale.

Serpentine, by some, is called the new Jade but as you will note the minerals found in Serpentine and Jade are not the same.  Serpentine is used to clear stagnant energy and any types of energy blockage.  It is the crystal of choice when you are looking for a peaceful resolution for any type of conflict.  It is an excellent abundance stone on whatever your focus may be – money, good health, relationships, etc.

Metaphysically, it is used to help activate kundalini energy and is an excellent stone to assist with meditation.

Tiger’s Eye is from the Quartz (Chalcedony) mineral group with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.  It has a wonderful silky luster when polished.

TIGER’S EYE PENDANT

TOURMALATED QUARTZ WITH LAVA

Tourmalated or Tourmalinated Quartz has a hardness of 7 to 7.5. This type of Quartz is embedded with green or black tourmaline needles or threads. 

Tourmalated quartz has the properties of both quartz and tourmaline. As with any quartz, this part of the stone will amplify the energies of whatever stone it is with and this case, it has grown with the Tourmaline and amplifies its energy. 

This stone is certainly a grounding one, and it can assist in releasing tension on all levels. This stone helps us to deal with negative thoughts and helps us to turn our negativity into positivity. It contains wonderful energy for problem solving as well as healing.
