Fluorite has a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale and is a form
of calcium fluoride. This mineral can
range in colour from clear to black.
Fluorite is naturally clear but impurities are what give Fluorite its
range in colour. The most popular colours
in jewellery are purple and then green.
Fluorite is said to provide mental focus, assist in the
processing and retention of information.
It has been called the aptitude stone.
Fluorite is also a highly protective stone used for
grounding and balancing spiritually. Fluorite increases intuitive abilities and
links us to the universal conscious energies when working with our upper
Chakras.
Physically, Fluorite is known to strengthen bones and teeth,
and lessens pain associated with arthritis.
