BALTIC AMBER - HEALING

With disease and healing as my focus today, I am going to take a look at how we can deal with the initial discomfort.  With that in mind, I think of Baltic Amber.

Baltic Amber is a fossilized tree resin that is used similarly to any other crystal, mineral or stone in jewellery creation.  Its hardness ranges from 2 to 2.5. 

When amber is worn against the skin, the nugget or bead is naturally warmed by our body heat and the bead releases small amounts of healing oils (succinic acid). The oils are absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and boost the immune system, reduce inflammation and are an analgesic used for pain. Baltic Amber also assists with varicose vein and increases blood circulation.

Baltic Amber is well known for its healing energies and has been worn by children for their protection since ancient times. Baltic Amber is also ideal for teething toddlers.

Beyond physical healing, Baltic Amber is associated with desire, sensuality and romantic tenderness.   It is said that it was used to find lasting love. 

Amber is also used to cleanse and purify areas and can simply be placed in a room or made into an elixir. 

Amber reactivates the second Chakra and is used to cleanse all chakras.
