As mentioned yesterday, the Zodiac sign Sagittarius has several
different stones, including ruby, topaz, amethyst, sapphire, and turquoise. In the past couple of days we have highlighted
Beryl, the talisman for Sagittarius and the precious gemstone Ruby.
Today we will highlight the precious gemstone Sapphire. It should be noted that Sapphire is the traditional
birthstone of September. Sapphire is a variety of the minerals corundum and aluminum oxide. It has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale. Sapphire
is most commonly blue but can also be yellow, purple, orange, and green. A red Sapphire is called Ruby.
Sapphire is known as the stone of wisdom and brings peace of
mind. It is the stone of prophecy.
Sapphire aligns the physical, the mental and the spiritual.
The blue sapphire shown here is associated with love and
purity and helps us to stay on our spiritual path.
Sapphire calms and regulates the body.
Sapphire is primarily associated with the third chakra but
is also associated with the throat chakra.
