Diamond, Opal and Sapphire are the traditional birthstone of
April. There are many other birthstones associated
with this month that are representative of Aries and Taurus including Jasper,
Topaz, Bloodstone, Amber and many more.
We are focusing on the gemstone Sapphire today which is a variety of the mineral corundum and aluminum oxide. It has a hardness of 9.
Sapphire is known as the stone of wisdom and brings peace of
mind. This is the stone of prophecy.
Sapphire aligns the physical, mental and spiritual.
The blue sapphire shown here is associated with love and purity and helps us to stay on our spiritual path.
Sapphire calms and regulates the body. It treats disorders associates with the blood and strengthens veins.
Sapphire is primarily associated with the third chakra but is also associated with the throat chakra.
