Amazonite has a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale and is part of the feldspar mineral group. Contrary to its name, Amazonite is not found in the Amazon River after which it was named but can be found in other parts of Brazil.
Amazonite is said to be a soothing stone
that balances the male and female energies and helps us to see both sides of
all issues. Amazonite is traditionally used to soothes emotional trauma.
It is recognized as the stone of courage
and truth.
Amazonite is known to heal the heart and
throat chakras.
It is said to keep Amazonite under your
pillow to have clear dreams.
It should be noted to handle Amazonite with
care as it easily chips or cracks.
