Diamond, Opal and Sapphire are the traditional birthstone of April. There are many other birthstones associated with this month that are representative of Aries and Taurus including Jasper, Topaz, Bloodstone, Amber and many more. Sapphire is the Sunstone of Taurus. It is also the birthstone of September.
We are focusing on the gemstone Sapphire today
which is a
variety of the mineral corundum and aluminum oxide. It has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale.
Sapphire is known as the stone of wisdom
and is said to brings peace of mind.
This is the stone of prophecy.
Sapphire is used metaphysically to align
the physical, mental and spiritual.
The blue sapphire shown here is associated
with love and purity and is said to help us to stay on our spiritual path.
Sapphire is used to calm and regulate the
body. It is said to treat disorders associates with the blood and strengthens
veins.
Sapphire is primarily associated with the
third chakra but is also associated with the throat chakra.
