Today, we are highlighting Opal, the Mystical birthstone for April. The traditional birthstones of April is Diamond and Sapphire. There are many other birthstones associated with this month that are representative of Aries and Taurus including Jasper, Topaz, Bloodstone, Amber and many more.
We will specifically focus on Pink Opal
today which has a hardness of 6 and is a blend of opal, palygorskite and
chalcedony.
Pink Opal is used as a stone of hope,
purity and health. It is said to be the healer of emotions and is considered the
stone for faithful lovers. This stone is said to enhance our emotions as well
as our spiritual self. Pink Opal is used
metaphysically to assist in keeping us centred and calm.
Used in meditation and with dreams, Pink
Opal is used to help us arouse compassion and to release painful memories.
It has even been referred to as the stone
of the Gods.
Pink Opal is associated with the heart
chakra.
