We have entered the sign
of Gemini in astrology. Gemini’s ancient
sunstones were Agate and Sapphire. Many
other stones have been added to that list and the modern sunstones include both
of these stones as well as Apophyllite, Aquamarine, Celestite, Citrine,
Chrysocolla, Emerald, Serpentine and Tigers Eye to name a few. Today, we will highlight Agate which is also
considered the Traditional sunstone of Gemini.
Agate is an ornamental
stone from the chalcedony family. It can
be identified by its banded or layered appearance.
Agate is a slow and
lower vibrational stone. Sure but
steady, its energetic effects will take time to manifest but will have wonderful
long term benefits.
Agate is a protective
and harmonizing stone. Its energy is said to strengthen the body as well as to helps
us with our connection to the earth (grounding).
It is a beneficial stone
for students and artists as it promotes creativity.
Emotionally, agate gives courage, self-confidence, and helps to dispels fears.
All agates, and there are far too many to list here, can remove blockages from any chakra and are cleansing.
