SANDALWOOD

Sandalwood is cultivated from the wood of a tree in Indian.

It is a sacred wood and frequently is used in Mala beads (prayer beads).

Sandalwood is known for its scent and is commonly used for incense.

Sandalwood is used for its protective energies and when worn, its energies assist with anxiety, stress and depression. It promotes spiritual awareness and is an excellent meditation tool.

Sandalwood is associated with the root chakra

Our jewellery example today consists of Sandalwood, Lava beads and is centred with a Tibetan Dzi Agate Bead.

Briefly, Lava is used for grounding and protection and the Tibetan Dzi Agate (sometimes called Tibetan Onyx) is said to have positive spiritual benefits. We will look a little closer at Lava and the Tibetan Dzi bead in the future.
