INDIAN AGATE BRACELET SETS

Enhancing Adornments was commissioned to create two sets of bracelets that reflect nature and being in the forest. 

 

We created these slip-on bracelets primarily with Indian Agate beads (grounding, balancing) with a touch of Canadian Jade also known as Nephrite (balance and harmony) and green Aventurine (growth and abundance).

 

Each bracelet set is adorned with stainless steel charms representing the great outdoors – trees, leaves, dragonflies, and of course a butterfly.  Stainless steel will not tarnish and is hypoallergenic.

 

Agates is said to remove blockages from all chakras and are cleansing.

OPAL IN SEAGLASS

We have combined the strength and renewal of sea glass, with the creativity, harmony and balance of opal in today’s highlighted pendant.  Flashes of beautiful blues, greens, oranges and yellows encased in ancient glass weathered by the ocean to a smooth opaque finish imperfect from its journey over the stones and shells on the shoreline.

 

It has been completed with a sterling silver chain to make it a lasting heirloom. 

 

Opal is known as the stone of the Gods and sea glass is known as sea gems or mermaid tears.

 

As a side note, man made or synthetic opals are more rugged than natural opals (6.5 on the Mohs scale) but still need special attention.  Do not expose an opal to harsh chemicals and limit water exposure.

 

Clean with a soft cloth or mild soap and water with a toothbrush.  Even though synthetic opals are much more rugged than natural opals, it is suggested to store separately to avoid scratching.

 

Fine silver (999) and sterling silver (925) can be stored in a small ziplock bag to reduce exposure to pollutants that causes tarnishing. Wearing frequently due to body oils also helps to reduce tarnishing.

Sometimes jewellery need not be elegant; it needs to fun. Just because they are cute doesn’t mean we have to cut on quality though.  We created these abstract Lady’s face earrings with 99.9% fine silver.

Our highlighted pendant is made from Panamanian clear sea glass riveted to fine silver and brass.

 

The flowery rivet allows the glass and precious metals to move for a fun spin and change in dimensions and appearance.

DANDELION SEED PENDANT IN BRASS

The Dandelion seed is symbolic of transformation, release and freedom.

 

We are all capable of transforming, release and the freedom to fly beyond our limiting expectations. 

 

What limits to you put on yourself?

GINKGO LEAF PENDANT

We are highlighting our beautiful fine silver (99.9% pure), Ginkgo Leaf pendant today. 

 

Symbolically, Ginkgo (Ginkgo Baluba) represents longevity and endurance. (The Ginkgo tree is one of the oldest living tree specimens on earth dating back to the time of the dinosaurs.)  The Ginkgo leaf is also used as a symbol for hope and peace. The leaf is a stunning pendant.

MEDITATION RING

A Meditation ring, also known as a spinner or fidget ring, is a wide banded ring with one or more smaller rings that spin over the main band. Spinning the small bands can be calming and assist us with focus (or refocusing).

 

These rings not only are useful but are a beautiful enhancement.

 

The larger main band of our focal Meditation ring is made from Sterling Silver and the smaller spinning rings are pure silver.

AMBER IN CHAINS

This beautiful raw Baltic Amber has been supported with stainless steel chains to create a pendant.

 

Baltic Amber is a fossilized tree resin with a hardness ranging from 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale.

 

When Amber is worn against the skin, the nugget or bead is naturally warmed by our body and a small amounts of healing oils (succinic acid) is released and absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. Succinic acid is known to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation and is used as an analgesic for pain. Baltic Amber is noted as assisting with varicose vein and increasing blood circulation. 

Metaphysically, Baltic Amber is associated with desire, sensuality and romantic tenderness.   It is said that it was used to find lasting love.

TEKTITE IN FORGED FINE SILVER

Tektite has a hardness of 5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Tektite is glass rich in silica and may suggest they are meteorites. May scientists believe however that Tektite is from Earth but the parent rock has been melted by meteorites that hit the earth. Tektite is much like Obsidian but contains no water.

 

Tektite is known as the stone of sensitivity and is said to be a high vibration stone which assists us with psychic development & astral travel.

CHRYSOCOLLA PENDANT

Chrysocolla or Chrysacolla is a beautiful blue/green stone with a hardness of 2 to 4 on the Mohs scale. More often than note, Chrysocolla beads are enhanced with dye but the nuggets are generally natural in colour.  The natural colour, however, can certainly vary with Chrysocolla.

 

Chrysocolla is known as a peace and harmony stone. Its energies are gentle and are used to assist in clarity and using discretion when making important and on the spot stressful decisions.

 

Metaphysically it is used to purify an area (room) or to assist an individual in releasing negativity. It is said to assist those that carry nervous energy.

 

Physically, Chrysocolla is used for stress headaches, arthritis, muscle spasms and cramps.

COPPER BROOM

Happy Halloween and so appropriate to highlight another broom.  Today’s creation is made of copper which is recognized for its healing properties especially with fighting infections. Copper is an antioxidant, and it improves the production of hemoglobin, myelin, collagen, melanin and the list goes on.

 

Copper is a conductor and therefore is an excellent means to transfer and amplify energy. This metal is a great choice for healers.

 

Spiritually, Copper is the metal of the body.

 

Metaphysically, copper is used for grounding. Since ancient time, Copper has been used in talismans because of its protective qualities.

BESOMS (WITCHES BROOM)

In light of the approach of Hallowe’en, we thought we would create a Witches Broom pendant.  This pendant was created in Stainless Steel.

 

We think a little history on Witches brooms is warranted.

 

Besoms or Witches Brooms have been associated with wiccan and pagan rituals since the middle ages. The word "besom" is derived from the Old English "besma," which means broom.

 

According to History.com, Anthologist, Robin Skelton, suggests the association between witches and brooms may have roots in a pagan fertility ritual, in which rural farmers would leap and dance astride poles, pitchforks or brooms in the light of the full moon to encourage the growth of their crops.

 

Ritually today, the Besom or Witches Broom is used to purify or cleanse a space.

FALL COLOURS NECKLACE

A beautiful combination of matted Jasper, Agate, Aventurine, Chrysocolla and Carnelian beads enhanced with Brass rings and gold-filled findings was inspired by Mother Nature’s current Autumn canvas.

NATURAL HOWLITE

Howlite has a hardness of 3.5 and is seldom found in crystal form. Frequently Howlite is dyed. Unfortunately, many vendors sell dyed Howlite as natural Turquoise. Howlite in its natural form is white with grey to blackish veins.

 

Howlite is used to still the mind, relieves stress, and calm. As a result, it is excellent for sleep. Howlite is said to encourages patience.

 

This is an attunement stone & is linked to the spiritual dimensions. It is said to opens us to insights & wisdom and is a perfect tool for meditation.

 

Howlite is said to help us become aware of our goals and ambitions, and its energies aid in achieving these goals.

 

Howlite is associates with the crown chakra but also said to balance all chakras.

ROSE QUARTZ WITH CLEAR QUARTZ ACCENTS

Rose quartz as suggested by its name is a member of the Quartz family and has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.  The colour is usually muted but occasionally can be found as a vivid pink. Rose quartz is generally not treated.

 

Rose quartz is known as the stone of love - love for others AND love for self. It is said to be a crystal of high energy and unconditional love for any situation.

 

Rose quartz is used for self-esteem and self-worth. Its loving energies is said to teach us to apply this love to ourselves. This in turn assists us with our own self-worth.

Rose quartz is known as being calming and perfect for crisis. It is said to assist in learning how to accept change and deal with unexpressed emotions and grief.

 

Rose quartz has been worn to assist with fertility.

SHUNGITE

Shungite is a black and lustrous mineraloid with a hardness of 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale.

 

Shungite is the go-to stone for EMF (electromagnetic field) protection.

 

Shungite has long been used as a purifier for water.

 

Shungite is said to balance. It is used to ground and is said to carry earth energies. As a result it is used to assist in healing and stress relief

HEMIMORPHITE

Hemimorphite, one of two minerals formerly called calamine, has a hardness of 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Hemimorphite in its purest form is white or colourless but due to impurities of copper and iron it can also be green, blue or grey. 

 

Blue hemimorphite can resemble both larimar and/or turquoise.

 

Hemimorphite is said to enhance self-esteem and self-respect and to separate ourselves from ego.

 

It has been used to communicate our emotions and our inner feelings.

 

Metaphysically Hemimorphite is used to develop spirituality, psychic visions and intuition.

 

Hemimorphite’s key words could be empathy and love.

BASALT OR LAVA BRACELETS

Lava or Basalt is volcanic rock and has a hardness of 3 to 3.5 on the Mohs scale.

 

These bracelets are very popular as the Lava stone acts as a wick so that essential oils can be added to the bead. Essential oils have wonderful effects on your body, mind and emotions. You can add a different essential oil each day depending on your needs and likes.
