Hemimorphite, one of two minerals formerly called calamine, has a hardness of 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Hemimorphite in its purest form is white or colourless but due to impurities of copper and iron it can also be green, blue or grey.
Blue hemimorphite can resemble both larimar
and/or turquoise.
Hemimorphite is said to enhance self-esteem
and self-respect and to separate ourselves from ego.
It has been used to communicate our emotions
and our inner feelings.
Metaphysically Hemimorphite is used to
develop spirituality, psychic visions and intuition.
