Emerald is from the Beryl family and has a
hardness of 7.5 to 8. If the stone is a
light green it would be referred to as Green Beryl and if it is a darker green
it is referred to as Emerald.
Emerald is a stone associated with
inspiration and patience. It is known as the stone of successful love. Emerald is
used to enhance partnerships, friendships and unconditional love.
This is the stone said to be associated
with regeneration, recovery and mental clarity.
Physically, Emerald is used to rejuvenate the
organs. It is known as the stone of choice for assisting with treating the
heart. It is also popular for treating and sooth the eyes.
Emerald is used to calm the emotions and as
a result, it recommended that it is not worn constantly as it is said to overly
affect our emotions.
