healing stones and is considered the master healer.
Amethyst is a stone associated with
sincerity, protection and purification. It
is known as a calming stone.
Amethyst's energies are also associated
with the psychic realm.
Amethyst comes from the Greek word
methustos which can be translated as intoxicated. This stone has been used for
centuries in association with sobriety and is also used for other addictions. It is said that Amethyst assists with the
elimination of cravings.
In healing, Amethyst is not only used on
those being healed but also is worn by the healer for healing.
Physically, Amethyst is said to assist with
headaches as well as to assist and stimulate the immune system.
