Baltic Amber is a fossilized tree resin but it is used in
jewellery as is any other crystal, mineral or stone. . Its hardness
ranges from 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale.
When amber is worn against the skin, the nugget or bead is
warmed and releases small amounts of healing oils (succinic acid). The oils are
absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and boost the immune system,
reduce inflammation and are an analgesic used for pain.
Baltic Amber also assists with varicose vein and increases
blood circulation.
Baltic Amber is used today to help children with the discomfort of teething. It is well known for its healing energies and has been worn by children for their protection since ancient times.
