October has two birthstones, opal and tourmaline.
Today we are showcasing pink opal in honour of those born in
the month of October.
Pink Opal has a hardness of 6 on the Mohs Scale and is a
blend of opal, palygorskite and chalcedony.
Pink Opal is a stone of hope, purity and health. It is the
healer of emotions and is the stone for faithful lovers. This stone enhances
our emotions as well as our spiritual self. Pink Opal assists in keeping us centred and
calm.
Used in meditation and with dreams, Pink Opal helps to
arouse compassion and allow us to release painful memories.
It has even been referred to as the stone of the Gods.
Pink Opal is associated with the heart chakra.
