As they name suggests, Labradorite was discovered in
Labrador, Canada. It is a mineral from the Feldspar family and has a hardness
of 6 to 6.5. This stone has a wonderful metallic reflective quality when light
hits it specific ways and is known for its lovely flashes of colour. Labradorite
has been associated with or compared to the aurora borealis. The pieces in our
example today reflect wonderful green/yellow flashes.
Labradorite enhances our intuitive and mental abilities. It is
ideal in helping with perseverance and our ability to open up to new ideas.
