Fluorite has a hardness of 4 on the Mohs
scale and is a form of calcium fluoride. Fluorite can range in colour from
clear to black. Fluorite is naturally clear but impurities are what give the variance
in colour. The most popular colour is purple and then green.
Fluorite is said to provide mental focus and
to assist in the processing and retention of information. It has been called
the aptitude stone. As such Fluorite is a perfect choice for students.
Spiritually, Fluorite is used for protection,
grounding and balancing. It is also used to increase intuitive abilities and to
link us to the universal conscious energies when working with our upper
Chakras.
