gemstone Sapphire. Sapphire is also the traditional
birthstone of September. Sapphire is a variety of the minerals corundum and aluminum oxide. It has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale. Sapphire
is most commonly blue but can also be yellow, purple, orange, and green. A red Sapphire is called Ruby.
Sapphire is known as the stone of wisdom
and is used to brings peace of mind. It
is the stone of prophecy.
Sapphire aligns the physical, the mental
and the spiritual.
The blue sapphire shown here is associated
with love and purity and is used to help us stay on our spiritual path.
Sapphire is said to calm and regulate the
body.
Sapphire is primarily associated with the
third chakra but is also associated with the throat chakra.
