We continue our focus on Libra birthstones which are Lapis Lazuli, Opal and Peridot (also known as the sunstones of the sun sign Libra). Agate is known as the Talisman for Libra and Sapphire is the planetary stone. Opal is also the birthstones of October.
Today we are showcasing pink opal.
Pink Opal has a hardness of 6 on the Mohs
Scale and is a blend of opal, palygorskite and chalcedony.
Pink Opal is known as a stone of hope,
purity and health. It is the healer of emotions and is the stone for faithful
lovers. It is said that this stone enhances our emotions as well as our
spiritual self. Pink Opal is used to
keep us centred and calm.
Used in meditation and with dreams, Pink
Opal is used to arouse compassion and allow us to release painful memories.
It has even been referred to as the stone
of the Gods.
Pink Opal is associated with the heart
chakra.
