DRUZY ON AGATE

Druzy is a collection of tiny crystals with a glittering effect.  The Druzy in our highlighted pieces are on an Agate host.  These particular beads feature a matte silver gray color (dyed) with druzy inclusions occupying the openings or surfaces of some of the beads.

 

Druzy is considered to be a healing stone that purifies and amplifies the body's natural healing properties and strengthens the spirit.  Druzy is said to help release blocked energies.

 

Druzy’s energies work similar to crystal clusters and therefore are excellent when working in group settings for metaphysical development, meditation groups, support groups, etc.  Druzy is used to bring the group energies together.

 

Druzy’s metaphysical properties are directly linked to the host mineral.  As mentioned our host mineral is Agate.

 

Agate is a grounding stone used to assists in balancing us emotionally, physically and intellectually. Agate harmonizes the positive and the negative. It assists us with self-confidence and concentration.

CLEAR QUARTZ POINT CLUSTER

 

Clear Crystal quartz is a 7 in hardness on the mohs scale and is the most common stone found on our planet. Sculptured by nature, no two points are the same.

 

Quartz Crystal is known as the power stone. It enhances clarity and is high energy.

 

Clear Quartz is used as an amplifier to intensifies the white energy of our higher self. It is said to assist us in achieving clarity in our communication abilities as well as our own personal thoughts.

 

Just as with Apophollite and Amethyst, clear crystal is a stone used by many healers. The crystal points are used to draw energy in or out and to focus energy to a specific area.

 

It is said if we wear a crystal point, it will open our hearts and our minds to higher vibrations which in turns allows our earthly self to connect and understand the truths of spirit.

CELESTITE

Celestite (also known as Celestine) has a hardness of 3 to 3.5. It ranges in colour from clear, blue, orange, light brown, and green/blue.  PLEASE NOTE that Celestite will fade if kept continually in sunlight.

Celestite is known as the Angel or angelic stone and is said to connect us to divine energy.

Angelic guidance and wisdom is said to be invited when praying or meditating with Celestite. Celestite is used to assist in astro travel and said to be the perfect tool for developing physic abilities.

Celestite is used for overcoming fear, stress, obsessive tendencies and anxiety.

FLUORITE PENDANT

 

Fluorite has a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale and is a form of calcium fluoride.  This mineral can range in colour from clear to black.  Fluorite is naturally clear but impurities are what give Fluorite its range of colour.  The most popular colour of Fluorite in jewellery is purple and then green.

 

Fluorite is said to provide mental focus, assist in the processing and retention of information.  It has been called the aptitude stone.  As such Fluorite is a perfect choice for students.

 

Spiritually, Fluorite is used for protection, grounding and balancing. It is also used to increase intuitive abilities and to link us to the universal conscious energies when working with our upper Chakras.

JULY - CARNELIAN

Today will be our last post focusing on the various stones of July including the sun signs of Cancer and Leo.  As mentioned earlier this week, birthstones for the month of July are carnelian, onyx, ruby, sapphire and sardonyx.  Today we are highlighting beautiful Carnelian. Carnelian is also the Sunstone of Virgo.

Carnelian is chalcedony quartz and has a hardness of 6.5 to a 7 on the Mohs scale. 

Carnelian is a grounding and stabilizing stone with high energy making it a motivational stone.

In ancient times, Carnelian was used as an amulet or talisman. Carnelian is the stone used to help remove fear and to create courage. It is also used for concentration and to calms anger.

Carnelian has been used for creativity and is said to stimulate energy and drive.

In healing it is said to influence the female reproductive organs and is used to benefit depression.

Carnelian is associated with the second or sacral chakra.

JULY BIRTHSTONE - SAPPHIRE

 

We continue our focus on the various stones of July including the sun signs of Cancer and Leo.  Birthstones for the month of July are carnelian, onyx, ruby, sapphire and sardonyx.  Today we are highlighting Sapphire.   Saphhire is also the talisman of Cancer, the birthstone of September and the Sunstone of Taurus.

 

The gemstone Sapphire is a variety of the mineral corundum, an aluminium oxide.  Sapphire has a hardness of 9. 

 

Sapphire is known as the stone of wisdom and brings peace of mind.  This is the stone of prophecy.

Sapphire aligns the physical, mental and spiritual.

The blue sapphire shown here is associated with love and purity and helps us to stay on our spiritual path.

Sapphire calms and regulates the body. It treats disorders associates with the blood and strengthens veins.

Sapphire is primarily associated with the third chakra but is also associated with the throat chakra.

BLACK ONYX – JULY BIRTHSTONE

 

Welcome to July.  Birthstones for the month of July are carnelian, onyx, ruby, sapphire and sardonyx.  Today we are highlighting Black Onyx.

 

Onyx is a form of chalcedony from the quartz family and has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.

 

Black Onyx is said to be the stone of strength, both physically and emotionally. It has been used to aid concentration and to help with self-discipline.  Onyx is said to provide support and self-confidence. 

 

It is invaluable with past life work and is used to eliminate fear and worry.

 

Physically, Onyx is used to balances the yin and yang energies within our bodies.

 

There is a set of stones that have been formulated in association with the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Black Onyx can be used as the fourth step as part of the “continuing to take inventory stage”. 

 

Onyx is associated with the root chakra.
