BALTIC AMBER

The Baltic Amber comes in many colours and the variations in looks for these creations can be endless.   Today’s highlights anklets range from milky or butter, lemon, honey, cognac, green, raw and polished.   Baltic Amber is a fossilized tree resin that is used in jewellery just as any other crystal, mineral or stone.   It has a hardness of 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale.

When amber is worn against the skin, the nugget or bead is warmed and releases small amounts of healing oils (succinic acid). The oils are absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and boost the immune system, reduce inflammation and are an analgesic used for pain. Baltic Amber is said to assists with varicose veins and increases blood circulation.   Today’s anklet has been created specifically for varicose veins (and for its good looks too).

Baltic Amber is well known for its healing energies and analgesic benefits and has been worn by children for their protection since ancient times.

Amber Jewellery for babies is quite popular particularly during teething. These Jewellery pieces are meant to be worn against the skin and are not for chewing.  Each bead is individually tied for safety reasons with infant jewellery.

Amber is also used to cleanse and purify areas and can simply be placed in a room for this purpose

Amber is associated with the second Chakra but is used to cleansing all chakras.
