Tourmaline is a semi-precious gemstone with a hardness of 7
to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. Tourmaline is
a combination of several minerals, the most common of which are Elbaite,
Schorl, and Dravite. Tourmaline comes in
a very wide variety of colours. Today’s
showcased piece includes Tourmaline colours of yellow, gold, green, pink and black
Tourmaline.
The key is a symbol of “unlocking” whether it is freedom,
knowledge, power, enlightenment, gateways, etc.
It is a powerful symbol.
Tourmaline is a healing crystal that is associated with
moving beyond old habits which in turn make change a little easier.
Tourmaline is a powerful grounding stone and enhances
tolerance and understanding. This is the
stone of choice when a positive attitude is essential.
In ancient times, it was used to ward off evil spirits.
Today it is still used as a shamanic stone for protection and purification.
Pink Tourmaline is known for its feminine gentleness and
compassion. Green is more masculine healing with courage and strength.
Yellow/gold/brown Tourmaline is used for emotional balance and black for
clarify and energy.
Tourmaline is said to reduce toxins that cause chronic
diseases. Tourmaline is said to cause a
cleaning of the nervous system which again, as mentioned earlier, helps to
create less stress, alertness as well as greater circulation. It is important to remember that all healing
