Hematite is an iron oxide with trace amounts of titanium. It is a myth that Hematite is magnetic on its
own. Hematite is only magnetic if it
contains enough magnetite to attract it to a magnet. Hematite
has a hardness of 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale.
Hematite is grounding, enhances expansion and is protective.
It is associated with peace and harmony and harmonizes the spirit, mind and
body.
It stimulates memory, concentration and focus. It is used to
assist with addictions and is used during the inventory stage of the program.
Physically, Hematite is said to help with blood supply and is
beneficial for leg cramps and anxiety.
Hematite is associated with the root chakra.
