DUMORTIERITE

Dumortierite is a member of the quartz family and has a hardness between 7 and 8.5 on the Mohs scale. It can resemble Lapis Lazuli or azurite in colour.

Dumortierite is known as the stone of patience.  It is said to assist in finding solutions to any hurdles we are facing.

Dumortierite is the key to power, clarity and order. It is a perfect stone for students and those that require enhancement of their mental abilities.

Dumortierite is a must for those working on developing their psychic abilities. This quartz is associated with stimulation of the Pineal Gland which in hand opens the Third Eye.

DUMORTIERITE

AMETHYST HIGHLIGHTED WITH FLUORITE

This particular bracelet consists of several smaller amethyst coin beads highlights with a purple fluorite bead in the centre.  Amethyst, which is from the quartz family, has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.  Fluorite has a hardness of 4 and can range in colour from clear to black. The most popular is purple and then green.

Amethyst is one of the most popular of the healing stones and is considered the master healer.  Amethyst is not only used on those being healed but also is worn by the healer as its energies heal the healer.

Amethyst is a stone associated with sincerity, protection and purification.  Amethyst's energies are also associated with the psychic realm.

Amethyst comes from the Greek word methustos which can be translated as intoxicated. This stone has been used for centuries in association with sobriety and is also used for other addictions.  It is said that Amethyst assists with the elimination of cravings. AMETHYST HIGHLIGHTED WITH FLUORITE

LAVA ESSENTIAL OIL PENDANT

This collar was created so that essential oils could be added to the Lava stone which acts as a wick. Just as with stone energy, essential oils have wonderful affects on our bodies, minds and emotions. You can add a different essential oil each day depending on your needs and likes.

LAVA ESSENTIAL OIL PENDANT

DRUZY WITH AGATE HOST

Druzy is a collection of tiny crystals with a glittering effect.  The Druzy in our highlighted pieces are on an Agate host.  These particular beads feature a matte silver gray color (dyed) with druzy inclusions occupying the openings or surfaces of some of the beads.

Druzy is considered to be a healing stone that purifies and amplifies the body's natural healing properties and strengthens the spirit.  Druzy is said to help release blocked energies.

Druzy’s energies work similar to crystal clusters and therefore are excellent when working in group settings for metaphysical development, meditation groups, support groups, etc.  Druzy will bring the group energies together.

Clear Crystal Quartz points are our most frequently commissioned mineral to be created into a pendants. 

Clear Crystal Quartz has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and quartz is the most common mineral found on our planet.  These points are sculptured by nature, and no two points are every the same.  Be sure to look at the crystal faces of your point.  There are many different degrees and angles.

In general crystal quartz are amplifiers which expands the white energy of our higher self. It is said that Clear Quartz will assist us in achieving clarity in our communication abilities as well as our own personal thoughts.

CHAKRA SIMPLICITY

EMERALD - MYSTIC BIRTHSTONE FOR JANUARY

Continuing from our post yesterday highlighting the modern and traditional birthstone for January (Garnet), today we are highlighting the mystic birthstone, Emerald.  Emerald is also the traditional birthstone for May and the sunstone for Cancer. 

Emerald is from the Beryl family and has a hardness of 7.5 to 8.  If the stone is a light green it would be referred to as Green Beryl and if it is a darker green it is referred to as Emerald.

Emerald is a stone associated with inspiration and patience. It is known as the stone of successful love. Emerald enhances partnerships, friendships and unconditional love.

This is the stone of regeneration, recovery and mental clarity.

Physically, Emerald is said to rejuvenate the organs, in particular. It is known as the stone of choice for assisting with treating the hearts. It is also well known for treating and sooth the eyes. 

Emerald calms the emotions and as a result, it is recommended that it is not worn constantly as it is said to overly affect our emotions. 

Emerald is associates with the heart chakra.

EMERALD - MYSTIC BIRTHSTONE FOR JANUARY

GARNET – JANUARY BIRTHSTONE

We thought it only appropriate to highlight the modern and the traditional birthstone of January – Garnet.

Garnet has a hardness of 6.5 to 7.5 and has been used in jewellery since the Bronze Age (in the third millennium BC)  Garnet comes in an array of colours from the classic red garnet to red/violet, ambers, oranges, yellows and greens.  The garnet highlighted today is Kashgar garnet discovered in China

Garnet is associated with love and passion and is known as the stone of commitment.  Garnet amplified and draws the qualities we are looking for in a relationship such as trust and devotion.  It has been said that its energy bring luck with love.

Garnet’s energies push for success and it assists us in reaching our goals.

Physically, Garnet is said to reduce toxins in the body and purifies the blood.

It is said that Garnet activates and amplifies other crystals.

This is an intense stone which stimulates both the crown and the root chakras.

GARNET SET

SUNSTONE

Sunstone is part of the feldspar family and it has a hardness of 6 to 6.5.

With New Year’s resolutions in mind, we thought we would highlight Sunstone, a stone associates with weight loss because of the “ray of hope” that it provides.  It is said that Sunstone give us that extra little push we may require to keep going. 

Sunstone is also associated with good luck and good fortune. It is said to empower self-healing and the feeling of self-worth. It is a light inspiring stone. 

Sunstone is a stone of vibrancy and stimulates feel good.  This is an ideal stone for inspirational speakers, leadership and independence (and again pushing us to stick with our goals). 

For centuries, Sunstone has been used for rheumatism and general aches and pains. More recently, Sunstone is also used to metaphysically treat osteoarthritis and cramps.
