Our Chakras are energy centres and when these centres are open and the energies are flowing freely, we are healthy, energetic and productive. 

Below is a list of the names of the Chakras (starting from the base of our torso to the top of our head). Also listed are the elements associated with each Chakra, a one-word description of what each Chakra represents, a motto for each Chakra, the colour that represents each Chakra and the name of each healing stone used in this specific pendant.

CHAKRA PENDANT

AGATE, AMETHYST & RHODONITE

This statement set consists of Agate which is a Chalcedony mineral with a hardness of 7, Amethyst which is part of the quartz family and also has a hardness of 7 and Rhodonite which is a pyroxenoid mineral with a hardness of 5.5 to 6.

Agate and Amethyst are known for their abilities to help relieve anxiety and stress 

Agate is a stone of balance and strength and its energies assist in emotional healing.

Amethyst is stimulating yet soothing and is a stone of comfort when grieving. Amethyst is known as the master healer.

Rhodonite is known to release blocked energy, stimulate emotional healing and draw on calming energies.

Agate is associated with removing blockages from all of the chakras. Amethyst is associates with the third eye and crown chakras. Rhodonite is associated with the heart chakra.

AGATE, AMETHYST AND RHODONITE

DRUZY ON AGATE

Druzy is a collection of tiny crystals with a glittering effect.  The Druzy in a highlighted pieces are on an Agate host.  These particular beads feature a matte silver gray color (dyed) with crystal inclusions occupying the openings or surfaces of some of the beads.

Druzy is considered to be a healing stone that purifies and amplifies the body's natural healing properties and strengthens the spirit.  Druzy is said to help release blocked energies.

Druzy’s energies work similar to crystal clusters and therefore are excellent when working in group settings for metaphysical development, meditation groups, support groups, etc.  Druzy will bring the group energies together.

Druzy’s metaphysical properties are directly linked to the host mineral.  As mentioned our host mineral is Agate.

SHELL (The Promise)

This set is made from shell which in general has a hardness of about 3.5 to 4.  Shell is one of the oldest items utilized to create jewellery. 

We have called this set The Promise.  The rainbow colours of the shell and the wire weave is our artistic interpretation of a rainbow.

Shell’s energies have been associated with adaptability, intuition, sensitivity, and imagination.   Shell have been used to assist with remaining calm and heightening self awareness. 

Shell are said to be our connection between the past and the future.

Shell is associated with the Solar Plexis Chakra.

Not only do essential oils have incredibly fragrant, but they actually have therapeutic properties that promote physical and mental well-being. 

Essential oils have been used for fragrance, cosmetic and medicinal purposes since ancient times. 

Essential oils are used to benefit those suffering from stress, depression, fatigue, pain, infection just to name a few.  The uses of essential oils are so vast we can only touch on a few here.

A pearl is a growth formed within the shell of a pearl oyster or other types of mollusk. 

In Astrology, it is said that anyone with a misaligned moon should wear jewellery made of pearls. By doing so, it is said that love with be enhanced and trust with spouse or partner will be built. 

Pearls have been traditionally used to assist with sex drive. 

Freshwater pearls enable us to accept love and to see the good within us and within others. 

Pearls are the stone of choice for brides due to their association with partnerships and love.

PEARL EARRINGS

OCTOBER’S MYSTICAL BIRTHSTONE

In the past couple of days we have highlighted Opal and Tourmaline, the birthstones of October. 

Jasper is known as the mystical birthstone for October.  Mystical birthstones are thousands of years old and are of Tibetan origin. 

Jasper is from the quartz family and has a hardness of 6.5 and 7 on the Mohs scale.

Jasper, in ancient times, was worn by shamans and kings as it is a powerful protection stone and helps to ground.

Jasper is known as the supreme nurturer and its energy is slow and continual.  This stonepiece is said to draw strength and vitality and assists us in being loving and compassionate. 

Jasper is said to enhance tranquility and helps us to eliminate stress.  

Yellow jasper, which is our showcased stone today, is used to build friendships, to build confidence and assist with learning.

Jasper aligns the chakras but stability the base chakra.  Yellow jasper in particular is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra.

OCTOBER’S MYSTICAL BIRTHSTONE - JASPER

TOURMALINE

Tourmaline is a semi-precious gemstone with a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale.  Tourmaline is a combination of several minerals, the most common or which are Elbaite, Schorl, and Dravite.  Tourmaline comes in a very wide variety of colours.  Today’s showcased piece is Black Tourmaline.

Tourmaline is a healing crystal that is associated with moving beyond old habits which in turn make change a little easier. 

Tourmaline is a powerful grounding stone and enhances tolerance and understanding.  This is the stone of choice when a positive attitude is essential.

In ancient times, it was used to ward off evil spirits. Today it is still used as a shamanic stone for protection and purification.

Black Tourmaline is great to wear at work for clarify and energy and would benefit those with stressful jobs to release anxiety and even anger.

Tourmaline is said to reduce toxins that cause chronic diseases.  Tourmaline is said to cause a cleaning of the nervous system which again, as mentioned earlier, helps to create less stress, alertness as well as greater circulation.  It is important to remember that all healing starts on a spiritual level.

BLACK TOURMALINE

OPAL – OCTOBER

October has two birthstones, opal and tourmaline.

Today we are showcasing pink opal in honour of those born in the month of October.

Pink Opal has a hardness of 6 on the Mohs Scale and is a blend of opal, palygorskite and chalcedony.

Pink Opal is a stone of hope, purity and health. It is the healer of emotions and is the stone for faithful lovers. This stone enhances our emotions as well as our spiritual self.  Pink Opal assists in keeping us centred and calm. 

Used in meditation and with dreams, Pink Opal helps to arouse compassion and allow us to release painful memories.

It has even been referred to as the stone of the Gods. 

Pink Opal is associated with the heart chakra.

PINK OPAL

HEMATITE, AMBER & CLEAR CRYSTAL BRACELET FOR PAIN

This bracelet has been created with Hematite, Clear Quartz and Baltic Amer.

Hematite (which has a hardness of 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale) is an iron oxide with trace amounts of titanium.  It is a myth that Hematite is magnetic on its own.  Hematite is only magnetic if it contains enough magnetite.   Crystal quartz has a hardness of 7 and is the most common stone found on our planet.  Baltic Amber which has a hardness of 2 to 2.5 is a fossilized tree resin but it is used as any other crystal, stone or mineral in jewellery.

Hematite is grounding and enhances expansion and protective. It is associated with peace and harmony. Hematite harmonizes the spirit, mind and body. It stimulates memory, concentration and focus. It is used to assist with addictions and is well known to help with blood supply.  It is effective in dealing with pain because it maintains the charge of nerve cells.  Hematite is also beneficial for leg cramps and anxiety.

When amber is worn against the skin, the nugget or bead is warmed and releases small amounts of healing oils (succinic acid). The oils are absorbed through the skin and boost the immune system, reduce inflammation and are an analgesic used for pain. Baltic Amber also assists with varicose vein and increases blood circulation.

Clear Crystal quartz is an amplifier and clear crystal amplifies the white energy of our higher self. It is said to assist us in achieving clarity in our communication abilities as well as our own personal thoughts. Clear crystal quartz has been added to this creation to heighten the healing abilities of the amber and hematite.
