Onyx is a form of chalcedony from the quartz family and has a hardness of 7.

Black Onyx is the stone of strength, both physically and emotionally.  It has been used to aid concentration and to help us with self-discipline.  Onyx is said to provide support and self-confidence. 

It is invaluable with past life work and helps to eliminate fear and worry.

Physically, Onyx balances the yin and yang energies within our bodies.

All agate is between a 6.5 to a 7 in hardness. Blue lace agate is found in Africa and is especially hard.

Blue Lace Agate (also known as Blue Chalcedony Lace) is a stone of communication and is known to help you speak your truth. This stone is excellent for public speaking.

Lepidolite or Lavender Stone has a hardness of 2.5 to 3 and is rich in lithium.

Lepidolite is a balancing and calming stone. It is a wonderful all round healer.  It is known as a stone of transition. 

It is used to remove electronic pollution from the home and office.  Keep a nugget at your computer.

It is said that Lepidolite helps with mood swings, helps with neuralgia, nerve paid and joint issues.

Place a piece of Lepidolite under your pillow to assist with dream recall. 

Lepidolite is associates mainly with the heart or 4th chakra but is also associates with the third eye (6th) and crown (7th) chakras.

SERPENTINE

According to “Geology.com”, Serpentine is not one mineral.  Chrysotile, antigorite, and lizardite are three of the primary serpentine minerals and there are other more rare minerals that can be found in Serpentine.   The hardness of Serpentine can range from a 3 to a6.

Serpentine is used to clear stagnant energy and any types of energy blockage.

Metaphysically it is used to help activate kundalini energy and is an excellent stone to assist with meditation.

Serpentine is the crystal of choice if you have conflict that you would like to peacefully resolve.

Serpentine is used physically for stomach issues and menstrual cramps.

This stone is associated with the heart chakra (4th) but helps to clear all chakras.

Howlite is a cauliflower shaped stone with a hardness of 3.5. It is seldom found in crystal form. Frequently howlite is dyed and sold as turquoise. In its natural form, Howlite is white with grey to black veins.

Howlite is known to still the mind, relieves stress, and calms.  As a result, it is excellent for sleep. Howlite encourages patience.
