Calcite has a hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale and ranges in colour from colourless to all colours of the rainbow plus.
Agate is a banded stone which makes it
stand out from any other Chalcedony. It
has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.
Calcite is used as an amplifier and
cleanser particularly of unwanted energies. It is said to use Calcite to recognize
and move beyond old habits and beliefs. Orange Calcite in particular is said to
have creative energies and to give us the motivation and inspiration to push
forward. It is also associated with wealth and abundance.
Agate is a slow and low vibrational stone.
Sure but steady, its energetic effects will take time to manifest but will have
wonderful long term benefits.
Agate is used as a protective and
harmonizing stone to relieves anxiety and stress. It is said to bring balance
and strength, and to heal emotionally. Agate’s energies are also said to
strengthen the body as well as to help us with our connection to the earth
(grounding).
Agate too is known to benefit artists and
their creativity.

self-confidence, and to dispels fears.
