The month of April has three birthstones – diamond, opal and sapphire. It also has sunstones associated with Aries and Taurus together with Talismans. We are currently in Aries and we highlighted some of Aries’ sunstones on March 22 and 24, 2022.
Today, we are highlighting Opal and our
featured piece has been created from pink opal.
Pink Opal has a hardness of 6 on the Mohs Scale and is a blend of opal,
palygorskite and chalcedony.
Pink Opal is known as a stone of hope,
purity and health. It is said to be the healer of emotions and for faithful
lovers. This stone is used to enhance our emotions as well as our spiritual
self. Pink Opal is sai to assist in
keeping us centred and calm.
Used in meditation and with dreams, Pink
Opal is used to arouse compassion and release painful memories.
It has even been referred to as the stone
of the Gods.
Pink Opal is associated with the heart
chakra.
