All forms and colours of Agate have a hardness of 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Agate is a banded stone which makes it stand out from any other Chalcedony. Agate has a wonderful waxy luster.
Metaphysically,
it is said that Agate is a slow and lower vibrational stone. Sure but steady,
its energetic effects will take time to manifest but will have wonderful long
term benefits.
Gray Agate
specifically is said to be calming and soothing and is said to be a good choice
to assist us to deal with trauma. It is
used for awareness of our thoughts and feelings.

is used for grounding physically and emotionally.
