Obsidian has a hardness of 5 to 5.5 and is an igneous rock
that formed from molten rock. Lava or
Lava stone is also known as Volcanic rock or Basalt and has a hardness of 3 to
3.5.
Obsidian is the stone of truth and helps to alleviate
negativity. It is the stone of choice when grieving as well as grounding,
manifesting and healing.
Lava is known to bring strength and courage to those that
wear it. It is said that the energies of Lava help to curb our anger. Lava is a high energy stone and is associates
with fertility and is considered to help raise libito.
