Howlite when in its raw form is a cauliflower shaped stone with a hardness of
3.5. It is seldom found in crystal form.
Howlite is naturally white with grey to black veins but frequently it is dyed. As a result, it is sold in many different
colours such as our example below. Most
frequently it is dyed and sold as turquoise. However there is a white turquoise that looks
similar to natural Howlite.
