Lapis Lazuli is comprised of lazurite (25% to 40%), calcite and pyrite. It has a hardness of 5 to 5.5.

Lapis Lazuli was a favoured stone of the pharaohs and has always been associated with royalty and divine beings.  It is believed to pass on the ancient knowledge and wisdom of the Isis, the Egyptian Sky Goddess.

Lapis Lazuli is the stone of truth. It promotes inner truth, self-awareness, harmony.  It is excellent choice to assist in releasing stress and in finding peace.

Lapis Lazuli is associated with good judgement and wisdom including inner wisdom.

Its energies are said to stimulate promotion and success.

Pearl is one of the most ancient of gemstones. Pearls which are referred to as black can be found in many dark hues such as grey, charcoal, metallic and dark purple.  Pearls have a hardness of 2.5 and as a result, scratch easily.

 Pearls over time have been the birthstone of February, April, June, July and November.  Astrologers have linked pearls to the Moon which is the energy of our emotions.  Pearls have been referred to as the teardrops of the Moon.

SANDALWOOD, LAVA STONE & TIBETAN DZI AGATE BEAD

Today, we are highlighting  a more traditional masculine style.

This bracelet has been created using Sandalwood and Lava stone, and its center is a Tibetan Dzi Agate Bead. Briefly, the Tibetan Dzi Agate (sometimes called Tibetan Onyx) is said to have positive spiritual benefits. 

Sandalwood is cultivated from the wood of a tree in Indian. Lava stone is also known as Volcanic rock or Basalt and has a hardness of 3 to 3.5.

Sandalwood is a sacred wood and frequently is used in Mala beads (prayer beads). 

Sandalwood is known for its scent and is frequently used for incense. It is known for its protective energies and when worn, it is said to assist with anxiety, stress and depression. It promotes spiritual awareness and is an excellent meditation tool.

Lava is known to bring strength and courage to those that wear it. It is said that the energies of Lava help to curb anger. As with other black stones, Lava stone is grounding and offers protection. It is a high energy stone.

An Agate Geode looks much like a potato from the outside. Inside the Geode is the beautiful surprise. Simply put, water containing minerals gathers and through pressure and other processes, the minerals and water harden over time to create this beautiful piece of shimmering art. Agate Geode’s hardness is between 6.5 and 7.

No two Quartz points are the same.  Each one individually sculptured by Mother Nature.  Quartz has a hardness of 7 in hardness.

As we focused on Quartz Points yesterday, today we will focus on the Agate Geode.

Agate is a grounding stone that assists in balancing us emotionally, physically and intellectually. Agate harmonizes the positive and the negative. It assists us with self-confidence and concentration.

Calcite has a hardness of 3 and ranges in colour from colourless to all colours of the rainbow and beyond.  Agate is a banded stone which makes it stand out from any other Chalcedony.  It has a hardness of 7.

Calcite is a amplifier and cleanser particularly of unwanted energies.  It is a stone of choice when wanting to recognizing and move beyond old habits and beliefs.
