ROSE QUARTZ

Enhancing Adornments has created this Rose Quartz Pendant in honour of those suffering with dementia.  We chose Rose Quartz as it is beneficial to both the caregivers as well as those suffering from this disease.  

Rose quartz is the stone of love - love for others AND love for self. It is a crystal of high energy and unconditional love for any situation. 

Rose quartz is used for self-esteem and self-worth. Its loving energies teach us to apply this love to ourselves. This in turn assists us with our own self-worth.

Rose quartz is calming and perfect for crisis. It helps us to learn to accept change and to deal with unexpressed emotions and grief.

Rose quartz is associated with the heart or 4th chakra.

Rose quartz as suggested by its name is a member of the Quartz family and has a hardness of 7. The colour is usually muted but occasionally can be found as a vivid pink. Rose quartz is generally not treated.

Face Shapes and Earring Syles

"Can an earring's style enhance my features? Which style earring is best for me? .........

.......The best starting point is to determine your face shape. Is yours round, square, oval or heart-shaped? Once you determine your face shape, explore the style best suited for you.

There are three basic earring styles designers depart from--linear, chandelier and hoop. Each of the three earring styles can accentuate and enhance your features, and also balance areas you wish to downplay. For example, as with clothing, vertical lines in earring styles will draw the eye upwards and visually elongate features. Horizontal lines will draw the eye from side to side and accent the width of your face.

Face Shapes and Earring Styles

Round Face: Vertical lines of elongated, linear, drop-style and narrow chandelier earrings will add height and provide an overall slimming effect for your face, emphasizing vertical lines.

Square Face: Round contours of hoops, long teardrops and long, narrow chandelier earrings will visually soften the edges of a square face while adding visual height.

Oval Face: Hoops in circles, triangles and ovals as well as teardrops and chandeliers enhance an oval face.

Tiger’s eye is a type of quartz (chalcedony) with a hardness of 7 and ranges from golden to red brown.  Most tiger’s eye stones are natural; however, some of the more red stones may have been enhanced through dying.  Blue Tiger’s Eye is also known as Hawks Eye and are more of a blue gray in colour.  There can be other inclusions in Tiger’s Eye such as hematite which will cause colour variations.

According to “Geology.com”, Serpentine is not just one mineral. Chrysotile, Antigorite, and Lizardite are three of the primary minerals found in Serpentine.  There are other more rare minerals that can be found in Serpentine as well. The hardness of Serpentine can range from 3 to 6.
